Was looking for some daily encouragement and came across this website. Love the gentle humor and push toward CHrist. I know I must keep my eyes on Jesus every day but it is easy to get distracted by all the noise of the media and the daily grind! I get down but it is nice to know there are such good people out there Mary from New Jersey

Clint Eastwood on Mr. Ed? Now that's trivia I did not know!

I like your illustration of being gripped by bad news in the midst of celebration; there's hardly anything as lonely. I get it!!!

I can see we have at least two things in common: 1) we are brothers in Christ, retaining hope in the presence of suffering; 2) we are both advocates of "the lost art of using the semi-colon!"

No worries Ed, the description was great. It was just me and where I am. It's kind of like when you've just heard some bad news but everyone around you is celebrating; you want to celebrate too but you just can't. BIG difference with me would be that I can because Christ has made it possible.

I'll definitely be checking out your older posts.

Clint was on one Mr. Ed episode. I was also watching a movie and I was like "wait a minute, that's Clint Eastwood!" I forget the name right now but he was part of a Confederate troop and they ended up helping Union soldiers deliver rifles to an army post.

Hi Rich,
I was going to say, the lack of initial inspiration is probably due to my rather mundane description...I just wanted to get something out there about it! Still, somehow God used it despite the obvious shortcomings.

And your openness to reflection and listening is the other part involved.

You might enjoy some of the older posts about guilt and remorse...good stuff (someone else wrote the best part.)

Ed

PS I'm a Clint Eastwood fan...you had me going at first...

Mr. Ed,

Do you remember the episode when Clint Eastwood appeared, oh wait sorry that's for a different blog.

Seriously though. I wasn't inspired at all, even though I should be; I should be awe stricken. And I had to ask myself why. I mean I believe and I'm amazed and I know that it's God's working but why wasn't I inspired (in the sense that I've taken you to mean it)? It probably has to do with sin is the conclusion I've come up with. There is a sin that I've been neglecting to confess because I'm afraid of the cost. Funny thing though; I'm more afraid of the cost of not confessing it.

Thanks for letting me vent and helping me to see some things a little clearer. I guess I am inspired by it afterall!!!
